ROA - A Perfect Day

Yesterday was the Year 11 Record of Achievement.  It is our annual opportunity to celebrate the achievements of learners and staff.  It is the most obvious sign of the fact our school is a special place because of the relationship between the learners and the staff who support them.

The event started with a speech from myself and then every learner in  Year 11 came onto the stage.  Each tutor group had prepared a speech thanking their tutor and each tutor in turn shared their memories of watching the learners grow into the mature adults they are today.  It was powerful stuff!!

Following this learners, staff and parents mingled together sharing happy memories from school.  There were handshakes and hugs.  It was fantastic to see.

For many of our learners this is not the end of the journey, just a pause.  Most will come back and join us in the Sixth Form.  I cant wait for them to come back and embark on the next stage.
