Daring to Achieve

Never has there been a week with more going on or a more obvious demonstration across the school of our motto to 'Dare to Achieve'.  As many of you know this motto is simply about making sure that every one of us pushes ourselves harder to do better and not accept anything less.

In this weeks blog I am going to try and summarise what has been happening.

Year 10

This week Year 10 have been focussing on their Skills Challenge work and have completed their Global Citizenship Challenge.  It has been great to see them focus on one area of the curriculum and really go for it in terms of completing their work to the best of their ability.

We look forward to seeing the results of their hard work.

Year Seven

This week a number of Year Seven learners headed off on our annual trip to Glan Llyn.  Gwersyll Glan-llyn is an outdoor education centre located on the shores of Llyn Tegid near Y Bala. They organise courses for groups and organisations, educational courses for schools and colleges and adventure holidays for Urdd members.

The group had an amazing time and there are some great videos and pictures on our Twitter site.  Please take the time to have a look.

 Year 13

This week Year 13 celebrated the end of their education at Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan.  It was a lovely evening filled with laughter, and a few tears.  The year group have been a credit to themselves and the school and it was great to be part of such a positive end to their time in the school.
